Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a part time Radar Systems Engineer- Intern. In this role, you will contribute to design, analysis, testing, and/or requirements verification of Radar Systems. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Radar Systems, Electronic Warfare, Kalman Filtering, Signal Processing, or Model Based Systems Engineering. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Introductory knowledge of one or more of the following: Matlab, Python, Unix Operating System, JAVA, C, and/or C++.
  • Adaptable, willingness to stretch technically and learn new things, demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in pursuing coursework, training, and assignments in multiple engineering functional areas to expand interdisciplinary knowledge and systems thinking.
  • Basic or Proficient programming knowledge or experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: i) radar control algorithms; ii) modeling and simulation; iii) experience with predictive data filtering techniques (e.g. Kalman filters); and iv) experience in Signal Processing, image processing techniques, and modeling signal processing operations.
  • Experience performing trades studies, requirements development - analysis, derivation, allocation, and documentation, engineering design and development, software development processes and Systems and software modeling
