About The Position

The Radar Systems Engineer will support the development, integration, and full lifecycle of the LTAMDS radar system. This role requires deep systems engineering expertise across requirements development, integration, verification, and performance analysis within both simulated and operational environments.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • An active SECRET is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 8 years of systems engineering or related experience
  • Experience with systems requirements, integration, testing, and/or hardware/software development
  • Proficiency in MATLAB for scripting and function development
  • Experience with C++, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Experience developing technical documentation (test plans, procedures, reports)
  • Experience supporting integration in lab, test facility, or field environments
  • Ability to analyze system performance using simulated environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with radar systems, signal processing, or defense systems
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent)
  • Background in statistical analysis of system performance data
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external customers
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) concepts

Responsibilities

  • Develop system requirements, algorithms, and concepts of operations (CONOPS)
  • Define and manage system interfaces across hardware and software components
  • Design and execute test plans, procedures, and verification activities in lab and field environments
  • Perform system integration of hardware and software into tactical radar systems
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and debugging to identify and resolve system-level issues
  • Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support validation efforts
  • Generate integration and verification documentation, including technical reports and procedures
  • Analyze radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Communicate technical findings, risks, and performance results to leadership and stakeholders
