About The Position

Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, integrates and tests radar systems operating from HF to 200+ GHz. Work closely with scientists and engineers to develop specifications and architectures for radar systems from the frontend components starting with the aperture to the backend components including the ADC, DSP, and processing flow behind it. Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, participating in proposal activities and assisting in marketing HRL expertise.

Requirements

• Familiarity with radar systems, especially frontend and backend components.
• Experience with phased array radar systems and digital signal processing.
• Experience in operating, testing, and analyzing radar data.
• Proficiency in MATLAB for developing radar waveforms and analyzing data.
• Experience with system simulators such as Simulink, VSS, and Systemvue is a plus.
• Working knowledge of FMCW radars, radar simulators, and radar algorithms.
• Ability to interact professionally with program managers and customers.
• Strong analytical skills for detailed analysis of radar systems and components.
• Ability to prepare written and oral presentations.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Familiarity with common passive and active microwave structures and antennas.
• Ability to program algorithms in C++, MATLAB, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of module and subsystem operation/integration is a plus.
• Familiarity with FPGAs and programming FPGAs is a plus.

Benefits

• Base salary range of $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.
