Radar Signal Processing Engineer
About The Position
The APEX Group is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to develop advanced sensing concepts utilizing adaptive radar signal processing, resource management, and advanced radar algorithm development, as well as executing advanced sensor concept demonstrations. A successful candidate will have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: adaptive signal processing, radar systems, RF remote sensing, or resource management. This position requires skills working as part of multi-disciplinary teams designing and analyzing signal processing algorithms for complex systems. Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and technical leadership skills are desired.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, for which U.S citizenship is needed by the U.S government
- MS or BS with 2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Strong background in RF systems, i.e., Radar, Communications, and Electronic Warfare
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python as well as other higher-level languages
- Strong Mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Active Security Clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level
- Experience with advanced RF system concepts, multi-dimensional signal processing, waveform design, system optimization, and multi-function phased array apertures
Responsibilities
- Develop system concepts and signal processing algorithms for radar systems
- Work as part of a small, focused team to architect, develop, implement, and test RF signal processing systems
- Modeling and Simulation of advanced RF systems, new sensing paradigms, and multi-function RF concepts
