About The Position

Leidos addresses some of the nation's toughest defense challenges through cutting-edge signal processing and data analytics. Our San Diego-based team consists of highly skilled scientists and engineers focused on extracting maximum intelligence from complex radar data for both classified and unclassified systems. We are seeking a motivated and inquisitive candidate who thrives in research, algorithm development, and implementation. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong scientific curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

Requirements

  • BS degree with 5+ years of prior relevant radar signal processing experience, Masters with 2 years of prior radar signal processing experience or Doctoral degree in a scientific field such as applied math, physics, or engineering.
  • Able to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
  • Experience in scientific algorithm development and radar data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Fluency in MATLAB, Python, or similar high-level language
  • Proven track record of innovation, problem solving, and achieving technical results
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Required on-site full-time work in San Diego, CA

Nice To Haves

  • An understanding of complex radar phenomenology, detection, and characterization.
  • Experience programming in C/C++
  • Comfortable with public speaking and/or customer presentations
