About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking a highly qualified and motivated engineer or scientist to serve as a Mid-level Radar Engineer on foreign air defense radar systems. The candidate will support the team to develop a comprehensive understanding, assessment, and design of the foreign radar, including characteristics, waveforms, capabilities, electronic protection, vulnerabilities, amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, and FPGAs. The design will include the hardware implementation, data/signal processing software algorithms, and processing techniques to assess receiver performance characteristics such as noise figure, cumulative gain, saturation levels, stretch processing, clutter performance, dynamic range, etc. The candidate will ensure that the overall assessment and design are consistent with the design philosophy of the foreign designers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or relevant technical field.
  • US citizenship with a SECRET clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • 5-9 years of experience with radar systems.
  • Previous experience characterizing radar systems based on incomplete information.
  • Experience with or extensive knowledge of radar receiver/signal processing.
  • Understanding of digital array radar and signal processing including MTI, MTD, pulse doppler, digital beamforming, and sidelobe cancellation/sidelobe blanking techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytic, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Previous All-Source analysis experience.
  • Experience supporting US Government S&TI Centers.

Responsibilities
