About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Radar Engineer (Expert, or Consultant) to join the Radar Team within the F-22 Air Vehicle Subsystems Team in Berkeley, MO. As a member of the Radar Team for the 5th generation fighter program, you will provide technical leadership and drive technical execution to support fleet operations and modernization of radar systems. You will directly interface with program leadership, the radar supplier, and the customer. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including expert, and consultant level Design and Analysis Engineers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Berkeley, MO location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience with Radar or Radio Frequency (RF) sensor design and integration
  • 9+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Master's or 4+ years of work-related engineering experience with a PhD
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 14+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical excellence throughout all Radar development activities
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with the Air Force Customer
  • Ensure mission success and prompt resolution of anomalies
  • Chair and participate in Technical Design Reviews (TDR), Engineering Review Boards (ERB), Root Cause/Corrective Actions (RCCA), etc.
  • Drive best practices to meet programs' cost, schedule, quality and technical objectives
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices for knowledge transfer and implementation on future programs
  • Travel may be required for up to 10% of the time, depending on business needs.
