Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon’s Field Engineering team is seeking a CONUS Field Manager. In this dual role you will provide technical and business support, leadership of employees, set day-to-day operational goals for team, solve routine problems, and ensure practices and procedures are followed by direct reports. This onsite position is based in McKinney, TX, and support is expected while in the field. Travel is approximately 50% CONUS, 10% OCONUS with short-term notice.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience working with KuRFs Radars and Coyote C-UAS systems.
  • Experience briefing senior level stakeholders and U.S. Government customers.
  • Experience with developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluations, including written, verbal, hands-on and tactical measurements of training effectiveness / comprehension.
  • Experience using LINUX or UNIX.
  • Experience managing and training employees in a deployed environment across multiple CoComs.

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehension of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process implementation.
  • Excellent self-starter with ability to align priorities.
  • Excellent technical writing, oral communication.
  • Knowledge of Sensitive Information Procedures.
  • Experience with COLTs (or similar) logistics management software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of CONUS field service representatives along with direct report employees.
  • Plan and set day-to-day operational goals within a clearly defined area of responsibility.
  • Work with functional management and external customers and vendors to ensure functional tasks and objectives are met.
  • Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Manage statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements.
  • Ensure field engineers are provided an in-brief regarding the program expectations and perform in the capacity of a field engineer as needed, conducting maintenance and troubleshooting on KuRFS radar and Coyote systems.
  • Attend customer meetings if the Field Operations IPTL is unavailable.
  • Backup for submitting Trouble Reports to Engineering team and briefing Trouble Review Board on faults.
  • Provide input and feedback to trainer and FSR Lead on FSR performance and training needs and conduct performance reviews and set yearly goals with your team.
  • Review work orders and trouble tickets for accuracy.
  • Archive final work orders and trouble tickets into shared library.
  • Ensure employees are submitting inventories and conducting scheduled maintenance per program guidelines.
  • Hold employees accountable as custodians of government and program property.
  • Address issues like poor performance or unprofessional behavior promptly, which prevents problems from escalating and helps maintain a productive work environment.
  • Provide input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports.
