About The Position

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Radar and RF Systems Analyst to work on a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The Threat Systems Development Branch is a group of engineers who specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open-air radar development. The candidate selected for this position will support projects for the Defense Intelligence Community (IC), Air Force, and large prime contractors. Technical project assignments could be focused in one or multiple of the following areas: Analysis of various threat systems including (but not limited to) radar, RF, and IR systems Developing scripting tools for testing Experience working with multiple types of hardware and systems that stream in RF Experience pulling data from multiple sources including classified systems Testing and debugging hardware using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes Working on multidisciplinary teams to debug problems when integrating threat models

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a BA/BS degree (in a related field) and 2+ years of relevant experience; or 6+ years of overall relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Candidate must have experience with radar and ELINT analysis
  • Candidate must have experience in software tooling development from conception to implementation processes
  • Candidate must possess a working knowledge of radar fundamentals with familiarity in the following tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, MATLAB, and Xilinx design tools
  • Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating RF systems.
  • Experience with testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex RF or radar systems.
  • Experience developing test plans and use cases for test ranges.
  • Candidates with TS/SCI clearance are preferred but not required.
