Job Summary PROGRAM STARTS: April 23, 2026 We will 2 opportunities for Floaters: one for North Region (Woodlands, Northeast & Cypress with Cypress being the home campus) and one for South Region (Memorial City, Southwest, Sugar Land & Pearland with Sugar Land being the home campus). Are you a registered or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist or a current RT student with an interest in the field of Mammography, but don’t know how to get the training you need? Let us help you advance your career. Memorial Hermann is now offering a 2-3 month paid training program/apprenticeship that will prepare you with the skills and knowledge you need to become an outstanding Mammography Technologist. You will be hired as a Rad Tech with Memorial Hermann while you train and once you are registered in Mammography you will be promoted to a Mammography Tech. This training will include a total of 320 hours comprised of four different phases to include structured education, textbook review, and independent diagnostic exams. Upon completion of the training and successful passing of the mammography registry examination, you will be reimbursed for the cost of the AHEC program if applicable ($1,215) and transitioned into a Mammography Technologist role at one of our Breast Care Centers located across the Greater Houston area. Please note you must register for the AHEC program and cover the cost. Once you are hired and pass the Mammo registry, we will reimburse you for the cost of the course. This position performs radiography (x-ray) examinations to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position may also perform some exams in more complex modalities. Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography radiographic exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: Prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the images.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on mammography equipment.
• May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.
• Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.
• May be required to work at other locations as needed.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.
