Requirements

• Graduate of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited school of Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology.
• ARRT or CVT/RCIS Certification preferred.
• 1 year of Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology/Catheterization procedure experience.
• Will consider graduates of CVT programs with extensive clinical rotations.
• Successful completion of basic EKG Arrhythmia course or equivalent training & experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts and/or on-call hours when required.

Nice To Haves

• Current Pennsylvania AART or CVT/RCIS registration preferred.
• CPR and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates/monitors all types of Cath Lab equipment under the supervision of the Cath Lab physician and/or Clinical Unit Coordinator.
• Assists the physician and nursing personnel during Diagnostic & Interventional catheterization procedures.
• Provides various types of patient care in the Cardiovascular Lab under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Accepts and performs a work assignment or assists with tasks which are outside of regular duties or cross trained assignment in which basic knowledge and skill to perform the assignment safely is possessed.
