Work Shift Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography
- BLS - Instructor or Basic Life Support
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.
- Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings.
- Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded.
- Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
- Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner.
- Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
