Assists radiologist and cardiologist with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic special procedures and maintains and operates equipment required to achieve the best possible radiographic diagnostic images. Job Description: EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Associate's: equivalent plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy Cardiovascular Interventional Therapy within 1 Year of hire ACLS (preferred) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: Two years in the cardiac cath lab and/or Interventional Radiology. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Knowledge: Familiar with equipment and supplies used in the cardiovascular and special procedures areas Familiar with supplies and equipment used during standard and specialized procedures. Demonstrates a very high level of radiographic accuracy and patient care while accomplishing the desired outcome of the procedure in a timely and efficient manner. Proficient with digital imaging and magnification techniques and fluoroscopy.
