About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Radiological Technologist/CT Technologist to join our highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Team at Bridgton Hospital! This is a per diem position with compensation starting from $33.75 per hour, increasing with experience/certification. Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoast Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. Requirements

  • Prefer 1 or more years of radiologic/imaging and/or CT Scanning experience.
  • Prefer CT Scanning Certification when performing CT or certification in a secondary modality.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
  • Current or within 1 month of hire American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS certification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy when performing CT.
  • Proficiency with X-Ray and knowledge of CT equipment, hardware, and software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures and ensure patient safety protocols.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for roentgenographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Select appropriate equipment for procedures and determine suitable anatomical posture.
  • Assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedures and make appropriate provider contact.
  • Operate mobile fluoroscopy equipment during special radiographic examinations.
  • Manage radiographic images and maintain records and reports.
  • Assist in training of students and ancillary personnel.
  • Take call according to a weekly schedule and work weekends and/or holidays.
  • Complete all work competently and efficiently by the end of the shift.
  • Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate QC logs.
  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
