Explains and demonstrates principles, techniques and methods of regulating movement of body, hands and feet to achieve proficiency in racquet. Observes students during practice to detect and correct mistakes.

Requirements

• Strong playing background required and 2 years of teaching experience required.
• Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); proven instructor skills; and demonstrated outstanding customer service.
• Must possess willingness to learn and perform new racquet programs, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation.
• Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Develops quality racquet instruction to market to individuals and groups.
• Provides racquet lessons to groups.
• Performs on-on-one private training sessions.
• Coordinates lessons with racquet professional, pro shop, and other departments.
• Conducts lessons and clinics.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of fitness equipment and facility.
• Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
• Performs special projects delegated by management.
• Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
