This entry-level position works in the Anodizing Department and is responsible for affixing aluminum pieces of varied sizes onto titanium metal anodizing racks. What You Will Be Responsible For: Examines articles for defects and sorts of articles according to extent of defect. Rackers work side by side on a line, with no more than an arm’s length between them. Frequently lift and carry boxes of parts weighing no more than thirty pounds. Differentiate between varied sizes, shapes, and styles of pieces. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Wear the required personal protective equipment. Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the loads are up to safety standards. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds (25lbs), frequently lift and/or move up to thirty pounds (30lbs) occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee continually works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning.
