About The Position

Are you looking for a flexible, team-oriented environment that offers independence in your day-to-day work? Associated Grocers is seeking a Part-Time Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ordering, stocking, and merchandising Health & Beauty Care (HBC) and General Merchandise (GM) departments within member retail stores. Additional responsibilities include conducting in-store surveys, managing in/out displays, introducing new items, and selling display opportunities for contracted merchandising clients. This is a part-time position, working approximately 12–16 hours per week.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills to support independent retail grocers in Pass Christian, MS.
High degree of attention to detail in order to eliminate errors, order product, verify product, and stock/rotate product.
Enjoy working on own with little supervision.
Dedicated, dependable, and on time to meet needs of independent retail grocers.
Knowledge of HBC/GM products preferred.
Valid and clear motor vehicle driving record.
Ability to use a two-step stool to reach and handle product.

Responsibilities

Order HBC/GM merchandise for member/retailer stores.
Check in the entire order. This includes cases and totes.
Stocking, rotating, pulling discontinued items and dusting all HBC/GM departments in member/retailer stores each time the store is worked.
Notify the Store Manager and/or supervisor of any errors in shipping and/or outdated product.
Fill out complete and accurate credit return forms.
Make sure private label products are merchandised as directed.
Work in new items and replace slow and non-selling items.
Develop a good working relationship with member/retailer.
