About The Position

The Rack Pusher I directs the activities of Service Technicians in the delivery of racking and tubing services. This role reports to the District Manager and is responsible for leading the crew, maintaining communication with both the crew and superiors, and ensuring that all necessary tools, equipment, and spare parts are loaded and available on the truck for jobs. Key duties include repair and maintenance, leading pre-job safety meetings, and overseeing all aspects of job performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. The Rack Pusher I also conducts training for service technicians as needed, communicates with company men upon arrival at job sites, and relays directions from superiors to the personnel under their supervision. The position involves operating tongs, ensuring correct torque specifications, and complying with all company rules and regulations. This role includes supervisory responsibilities, managing a team of 2-8 subordinates and being accountable for their overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must meet Driver Criteria: No more than one Type A Violation(s) in a 60 month period, no more than two Type B Violation(s) in a 36 month period, no more than three Type C Violation(s) in a 36 month period, and no more than one Type B and two Type C Violations in a 36 month period.
