About The Position

As a Rack & Paneling Installer 2 / Construction Craft Labor Apprentice 2, you will continue to develop your skills and knowledge in the construction field. You will support solar install crews by completing basic racking and paneling tasks, assisting with layout, and learning proper equipment handling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Rack & Paneling Installer 1 / Construction Craft Labor Apprentice 1 or 6–12 months of experience in construction or solar installation preferred.
• Familiar with basic tool handling and safe work practices.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices.
• Travel overnight to remote job sites up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the job site by staging tools, clearing debris, and assisting layout tasks.
• Assist in assembling and mounting racking frames under direction.
• Help secure solar modules to racking using proper fasteners and alignment techniques.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely.
• Help manage job site inventory and equipment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Receive and retain training and direction from your Foreman or Journeyworker.
• Follow directions and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner. Communicate any delays.
• Other duties as assigned.
