About The Position
The Operations Engineering Consultant 1 position at Celestica requires the application of in-depth knowledge of professional standards and precedents in the area of specialty. The role involves working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Incumbents are accountable for the quality of work delivered by external suppliers and have decision-making authority and autonomy to deliver on team goals. The position may lead a multi-functional work group or project team and is responsible for influencing others outside of the team to ensure goals are met and resolving conflicts effectively. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals can result in additional costs and serious delays in overall schedules. The consultant will interface with senior managers and interact with management and customers on significant issues.
