About The Position

The Security Officer position at Harrah's Hoosier Park is responsible for providing an observable deterrent to criminal activity within their span of control. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of six months related security experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write clear and detailed reports and forms.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to present information effectively.
  • Basic mathematical skills for computations and interpretations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide designated escort activities for the protection of patrons, employees, and property.
  • Observe and report violations of regulatory, internal control, or company policies.
  • Interact professionally with internal departments and external law enforcement agencies.
  • Document incidents and events accurately upon request.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Serve as an informational resource for patrons and employees regarding property activities.
  • Assume a leadership role in employee and guest relations, ensuring a professional appearance.
  • Log entries related to ingress and egress, accidents, jackpots, and lost and found reports.
  • Remain alert to security issues and conduct continuous patrol activities.
  • Assist law enforcement agencies as requested, including during arrests and detentions.
  • Initiate corrective actions for crowd control issues, focusing on safety during emergencies and events.
  • Complete detailed accident and incident reports regarding events involving patrons and employees.
