Job Description Job Description RAC Mechanic Refrigeration/AC Engineering - Maintenance - B1-B3 RAC Mechanic- Refrigeration/AC - Engineering Lilly is currently constructing a cutting-edge facility for the manufacture of new modalities including Gene Therapy. At Lebanon, Indiana, this facility will be Lilly's most technically advanced manufacturing site focused on the delivery of the next wave of innovative products at Lilly. It will include next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety and quality, and process performance. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the team for the startup of a Lebanon manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will focus on equipment uptime, calibration and reliability. This individual will be responsible for both clinical and commercial supply. We are seeking a Maintenance Process Technician at the Advance Therapy Manufacturing Site in Lebanon, IN. The HVAC Mechanic is a key role responsible for the oversight of all maintenance activities in Advance Therapy Manufacturing Site to maintain assets in compliance with cGMP and to ensure equipment is available, maintained, and repaired to the applicable standards. The technician will be, at a minimum, responsible for the following: Servicing, Troubleshooting and maintaining multiple HVAC equipment systems such as Chillers, Boilers, Air balancing, Hoods, HEPA Filters, Air Handlers Engage and own site HVAC Program. Displaying good documentation practices. Installation and maintaining of new and existing equipment. Key Responsibilities Pre-Startup and Startup Phase: Support a safety-first, quality always maintenance team. Ability to respond quickly and proactively to changing priorities within a reasonable timeframe. Cross functionally collaboration with Global Facility Delivery (GFD) to support project delivery. Follow maintenance procedures such as Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work plans. Review data loading into CMMS and managing workflow for data changes. Support C&Q activities, including but not limited to, initial equipment start ups, shakedowns, initial/operational verification, and/or equipment qualification. Use the Workday system for time entry and personal information. Fully use Performance Management (PM) To manage objectives and development that align with the organizational and corporate priorities. Observe and work with vendor for initial equipment Start-ups. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on basic heating and cooling systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and make appropriate repairs to minimize downtime. Ability to read P & ID drawings and schematics. Highly attention to details especially in GMP documentation. Post Startup: Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on basic heating and cooling system (e.g., unit heaters, gas furnace, humidifiers). Install, repair and perform maintenance on complex heating and cooling system (e.g., multi-zone heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, pneumatic, electric and electronic control systems). Balance flow in air handling systems, fume hoods and specialty applications to bring systems back into design specifications. Repair and perform preventive maintenance on process and comfort chiller systems (e.g., brine, water, and glycol). Install, repair coils for HVAC Install, replace, and test filter systems (e.g., HEPA, frame filters). Inspect, validate and repair HEPA filters by checking air velocity, checking static pressure readings, performing dioctyl phthalate (DOP smoke test) inspections, inspecting fan systems to check air flow/air balance and to make necessary adjustments to belts, motors and prefilters to maintain efficiency, checking and validating alarms, replacing differential pressure switches, and cleaning blower cabinets in hoods. Be certified in the use of CFC recovery equipment. Maintain CFC records for usage and losses. Support communications between Operation shifts, Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, and site customers to keep them informed of any issues that could affect them. Identify and implement “Human Error Prevention” opportunities. Use basic CMMS functionality daily. Use of CMMS closing notes using work order codes daily Ability to use Microsoft Office tools. People Management: Ensure the company values, standards, and polices are communicated to and modelled within the team. Ensure on-going learning and team reflection. Identify and implement changes to work practices in conjunction with appropriate team members. Support direct reports in safety practices.
