About The Position

The Manager, Warehouse at US Foods is responsible for fostering a culture centered on safety, service, and cost efficiency within the warehouse. The manager will oversee the receiving, storage, and loading of products, while also focusing on associate development and maintaining high operational standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to ensure all associates remain injury-free.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching and training.
• Create a cohesive organization by maintaining open communication and directing workflow.
• Direct and supervise the productivity of associates within the warehouse department.
• Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring personnel.
• Lead associates to achieve accurate order staging and loading.
• Monitor operational information to ensure compliance with productivity rates.
• Designate dock locations for inbound carriers and ensure proper stocking of products.
• Maintain the physical condition and safety of the warehouse and equipment.
• Work with management to identify sources of inventory shrink and develop action plans.
• Regularly inspect the facility for safety hazards and maintain compliance with sanitation requirements.
• Effectively schedule working shifts using planning tools.
