About The Position

The R1 Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced systems and infrastructure that support the organization's operational goals. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles combined with practical problem-solving skills to ensure system reliability and efficiency. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance performance and scalability. A key outcome of this role is to deliver robust, high-quality engineering solutions that meet both current and future business needs. The R1 Engineer will also be responsible for continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that engineering practices evolve with emerging technologies and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in system design, development, and maintenance within a professional engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and engineering best practices.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language relevant to the role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks.
  • Professional engineering certifications or relevant technical credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other engineers to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document engineering processes, system configurations, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering quality.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
