About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires the RN to provide direct patient care within their scope of practice, ensuring that all actions align with professional nursing standards. The RN will work primarily in the Emergency Department, where they will be directly accountable for the care provided to patients. This includes not only the physical aspects of care but also the emotional and educational support for patients and their families. The RN will communicate effectively with physicians regarding any changes in a patient's clinical condition, including the results of diagnostic studies and any symptoms that may arise. In addition to direct patient care, the RN will guide and direct the activities of other nursing personnel, ensuring that all team members are working collaboratively to provide the best possible care. The RN must be knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and the reporting of child and adult abuse, ensuring that all patient interactions maintain privacy and confidentiality. The RN is expected to respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment, demonstrating a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making skills. This position requires a commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the highest standards of nursing practice.
