About the position

The R&M Technician at Weatherford is responsible for hands-on tasks involving the inspection, repair, and maintenance of field tools. This role encompasses the entire process from receiving tools to refurbishing them, ensuring they are ready for their next assignment. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and compliance with company policies, while also providing opportunities for leadership in more senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of corporate governance and compliance with HSE policies.
• Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, reporting any issues promptly.
• Repair machines and equipment using various tools and instruments.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Follow maintenance processes for unloading, disassembly, cleaning, and storage of tools.
• Initiate and close out maintenance documentation as required.
• Utilize tools and lifting equipment safely for moving equipment.
• Accept incoming shipments and prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Lead teams in troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing corrective actions in senior roles.
• Order parts and supplies according to company guidelines.
• Support LEAN initiatives and participate in continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• High School Diploma.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Basic Mathematics skills.
• Experience working with hazardous materials and awareness of NDT, NDE, and ATEX policies.
• Ability to diagnose issues with tools and equipment in senior roles.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good reading and writing skills with strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Time management skills.
• Quality Control Analysis capabilities.
