About The Position

Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Sustaining Technicians Support R&D inkjet development through continuous improvement of tools and processes involved in the semi-automated IC equipment. This position will be working in HP’s Liquid Cooling Solutions business in the Microfluidic Technology Organization (MTO) and will apply their extensive knowledge, job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways. Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Working on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-6 years of related work experience, preferably in product design, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • maintaining and repairing liquid cooling assembly, test, and support equipment
  • troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidic, and control system issues
  • identifying root causes of recurring failures or nuisance issues that impact quality or throughput
  • developing PM task lists, setting frequencies, executing and documenting maintenance, and continuously improving equipment stability as systems evolve
  • work with cross-functional partners to ensure the accuracy of proposed requests and solutions that meet design standards, coordinating design criteria with various groups as necessary to ensure successful execution of assignments
  • contribute to process and tool improvements by supporting upgrades, design-for-manufacturability changes, and small-scale modifications
  • maintaining strong awareness of tool health and early indicators of degradation, participating in daily standups and technical reviews, and communicating risks or constraints before they escalate into build delays
  • All work is performed in compliance with HP safety, quality, and documentation standards while fostering a collaborative, solution‑oriented lab and production environment.
