About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is the processing of R&D sample orders and all support functions.  This includes but is not limited to preparation, finishing, lamination, inspection of sample orders, all associated record keeping of technical parameters, and distribution of samples to internal and external customers. The technician will have responsibility for cutting, labeling, mounting, and distributing samples to the Lear Sales and Engineering teams to submit to customers for new business consideration.  Great attention to detail and pride in workmanship is absolutely critical.   The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: The technician is expected to assist as needed to process samples through any and all equipment as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience on a variety of equipment and/or the ability and willingness to learn new processes and equipment The technician will execute carton requisitions from receipt to closure and is expected to maintain requisitions to a minimal level Responsibility for sample embossing and welding operations.   The associate will participate in regularly scheduled sample preview and review meetings and is expected to contribute independent point of view.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow departmental work instructions, standards of operations (SOPs), verbal and written directions
  • Adapt to using multiple tools and equipment
  • Attend sample review meetings
  • Background in PLC ladder logic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drives
  • Must be High School Graduate or have a GED.
  • Must have intermediate functional knowledge of Basics, English and metrics units, measuring systems, and conversions
  • Intermediate functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and other custom oftware.
  • Must be able to pass Background and Drug Screening
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand for a prolonged amount of time.
