Bath & Body Works is seeking a dedicated, self-driven R&D Technical Project Manager I to join our fast-paced and ever-evolving Research and Development team. We are an innovative team of technical project managers that are agile, passionate, and curious to innovate and implement brand relevant personal care & beauty products. The ideal associate must have the interpersonal and scientific know-how to collaborate, problem solve, and deliver results with a project management mentality.

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience in R&D or raw materials applications lab.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for data entry, organization, and basic analysis.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of organization.
• Able to manage time effectively and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment; displays a sense of urgency and adaptability to change.
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Good collaboration and interpersonal skill.
• Demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic.
• Shows curiosity and a commitment to learning; takes ownership and is receptive to feedback.
• BS/MS degree in a science related field

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Personal Care, Skincare, Makeup, or Haircare preferred.
• Experience in Project Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and communicate challenges and risks in formula stability, compatibility, and micro for low complexity projects, troubleshoot issues, map out action plans for resolution together with manager's support, and mobilize appropriate teams needed to achieve results.
• Complete all relevant commercialization milestones punctually and accurately, report development challenges that may jeopardize timelines, and provide risk assessment/status to internal teams and manager.
• Maintain project trackers to ensure they are well-organized, accurate, and current in order to enable visibility, efficiencies, and historical findings.
• Collaborate with Product Fragrance Development, Formula Data Integrity, Regulatory, Safety, Engineering, Operations, and Packaging partners to drive project success.
• Manage deliverable from key Fragrance Houses and Contract Manufacturers.
• Support supply chain and cost savings activities by approving alternate raw materials based on specific chemistries and functions.
• Actively participate in weekly commercialization, cross-functional, and internal team meetings. Provide project updates, discuss findings, and share ideas.
• Connect and establish relationships within R&D and with cross functional teams, including onboarding, touch-bases, and alignment meetings.
