Your responsibilities will include: Perform routine chemical etching and electropolishing on stainless steel, nitinol, and other medical-grade alloys. Collaborate with R&D/project engineers to understand the request and ensure the process will meet their needs. Work within fume hoods wearing proper PPE (lab coat, gloves and goggles). Operate the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Perform routine equipment maintenance on the SEM. Support R&D experiments by exploring and developing new electropolishing processes. Assist with DOE work as needed, and document steps performed. Work with internal resources and external vendors to identify and obtain supplies and services (MyBuy). Coordinate procuring and qualification of new or modified test equipment.
