The job of a Research & Development Technician II is to assist with functions required to bring new products or materials to Commercialization as well as participate in process improvement endeavors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
  • Good interpretive and/or reactive skills
  • Laboratory Experience

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Federal, State, Governmental and or any other appropriate regulatory laws or guidelines
  • Assist with Food Safety issues, scientific and technical developments, and industry codes of practice
  • Ensure standards are met in the areas of Food Safety and Product Quality and especially during the execution of research and product development work.
  • Report Food Safety violations and defective quality
  • Work toward continual improvement of work processes, testing methodology and process control
  • Develop new testing methods as needed to support new products.
  • Train applicable personnel
  • Assist with production line trials
  • Perform the analytical and sensory tests required for developing new products and materials
  • Data input, analysis, and writing of reports
  • Involvement with the five phases of product development
  • Customer sample preparation in support of sales team
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, demonstrating a strong commitment to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in support of product integrity, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
