Job Description: Baker Tilly is currently seeking Research & Development Tax Staff. Research & Development Tax Staff participate in project planning, conduct interviews and analyze information to identify eligible tax credits, and prepare supporting work paper documentation. Additionally, Staff participate in the preparation of R&D tax credit studies, conduct research and draft technical memoranda.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Baker Tilly will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT)
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree, with a preference for accounting majors
  • If an accounting major, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire
  • Ability to commute as needed throughout the region; to include Baker Tilly's offices
  • Ability to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office locations
  • Seasonal flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Must have a current, accepted offer with Baker Tilly (formerly Moss Adams)

Nice To Haves

  • Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
  • Master of Tax or JD/LLM preferred
  • Reside within a commutable distance of a Baker Tilly office and be willing to work from the office on a regular basis
