Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of III-V semiconductor processes and related equipment (InP, GaAs) as well as 200mm Silicon wafer processing
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and equipment monitoring tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cleanroom manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vacuum systems, RF generators, gas delivery systems, and PLCs
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, SPC, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Certifications in equipment maintenance or safety (e.g., OSHA, SEMI S2)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of tools including various types of metal deposition reactors, PECVD, RIE, wet benches, complex lithography and metrology systems
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, SOPs, and equipment reliability programs
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause analysis for chronic failures
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool performance and minimize downtime
  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships for equipment servicing and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and cleanroom protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, tool history, and performance metrics
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and technical procedures
  • Support facility expansion and equipment installation projects as needed
