About The Position

IDEXX engages in cutting-edge research to deliver products that enhance the ability of veterinarians to provide advanced medical care throughout the United States and over 175 countries worldwide. The Sample Acquisition Team is pivotal to this success, operating under the Clinical Research Group within the Reference Labs. This role is characterized by a series of specialized tasks strategically aligned to advance project goals and key business initiatives. The dynamic nature of a fast-paced research environment ensures that every day presents unique challenges and opportunities. Core daily responsibilities include managing the collection of samples from cold storage, meticulous data entry and management within Excel, synthesizing project data, monitoring project milestones, and orchestrating the preparation and dispatch of samples to designated collection teams.

Requirements

  • A 2-year degree as a minimum educational requirement
  • Technical acumen, particularly in laboratory practices and Excel
  • Must be reliable – attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Ability to have flexibility with scheduling dependent on specific project needs
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules and technical procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong initiative and follow through
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team contributor
  • Must demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, high-velocity work environment, with a focus on productivity and efficiency
