Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associates degree is required; focused degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred. A Bachelor’s degree and/or University degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience with technical work in mechanical, electromechanical, or medical device environments.
  • Ability to understand and follow assembly instructions.
  • Experience supporting engineering tests and documenting results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the medical device, biotech, or regulated hardware industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, or similar quality regulations.
  • Basic experience with data acquisition systems or instrumentation.
  • Solid understanding of calibration practices and traceability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage in-house robotic endoscopy systems for R&D activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical or electromechanical equipment issues used in development and testing.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configuration traceability
  • Ensure alignment between released documentation and as-built configurations including software and firmware versioning.
  • Support verification activities, including formal testing, dry running, and feasibility.
  • Support testing for investigations/root cause analysis.
  • Configure test fixtures, sensors, and instrumentation (e.g., load cells, pressure sensors).
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory, safety, and medical device regulatory standards during testing activities.

  • Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
