Requirements
- Minimum of an Associates degree is required; focused degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred. A Bachelor’s degree and/or University degree is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional work experience
- Experience with technical work in mechanical, electromechanical, or medical device environments.
- Ability to understand and follow assembly instructions.
- Experience supporting engineering tests and documenting results.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the medical device, biotech, or regulated hardware industry.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, or similar quality regulations.
- Basic experience with data acquisition systems or instrumentation.
- Solid understanding of calibration practices and traceability standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage in-house robotic endoscopy systems for R&D activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical or electromechanical equipment issues used in development and testing.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configuration traceability
- Ensure alignment between released documentation and as-built configurations including software and firmware versioning.
- Support verification activities, including formal testing, dry running, and feasibility.
- Support testing for investigations/root cause analysis.
- Configure test fixtures, sensors, and instrumentation (e.g., load cells, pressure sensors).
- Ensure compliance with laboratory, safety, and medical device regulatory standards during testing activities.
