This position will be part of the ENERGY BUSINESS UNIT--Energy BU innovates sustainable energy networks and keeps the power on At TE Connectivity, you'll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Energy Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by: Contribute to product development projects for solar connectors and wiring harnesses. Support design, prototyping, product validation, and testing efforts. Utilize PTC Creo and ANSYS to evaluate designs and conduct FEA analyses. Gain an understanding of Solar connector products and the Solar industry.
Requirements
- Have earned a high school diploma or GED
- Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Related Major from an accredited college or university-or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
- Are authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project
Responsibilities
- Assist with prototyping and testing of various new products for the Solar Business
- Conduct tests and document results, preparing reports or summaries to share with the team.
- Contribute to product designs and continuous improvement efforts
- Support team activities and learn how new products move from concept to production.
