About The Position

A senior technician conducts various core analytical tests such as Brix Analysis, Titratable Acidity, pH, conductivity measurement in support of Global Beverage R&D innovation. This role should be able to review instrument results and validate data in the information management system. The responsibility also includes receiving samples from R&D clients, ensuring that the samples were entered correctly as well as disposing of beverages once samples testing has been completed. In addition, this role will support other members in the lab with sample preparation for more advanced sample testing techniques. Basic troubleshooting of lab instruments is also required. Requirements

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science or a related science field with 1-2 years of experience with hands-on core analytical techniques in an industrial setting (i.e., research and development or a commercial manufacturing environment)
  • Analytical techniques including Wet Chem and LC; Capable of learning and applying various techniques of analysis.
  • Detailed oriented, ability to conduct multiple tasks and handle stress upon urgent sample testing requests from clients.
  • Expertise with laboratory information management systems.
  • Follow and implement all mandatory safety requirements.
  • Experience in GLP lab environment and documenting test results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily sample log-in process using the LabVantage LIMS system upon testing parameter validity review as well as dispose of samples once all testing has been completed.
  • Conduct Analytical core tests of Brix, TApH, Conductive Dissolved Solids, Moisture Analysis, sample prep (Color Analysis and Vitamin C by LC) by following internal approved methods.
  • Assist other team members as a backup as needed and assist lab manager on execution of other projects including product spec investigation and method validation.
  • Perform density meter/refractometer/titration system maintenance for Valhalla Core Analysis instruments.

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $59,000 - $88,500.
