The R&D Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in supporting rapid prototype development and new product introduction (NPI) for strategic customers. This position requires a hands-on approach to manufacturing processes, tooling, scheduling, and vendor coordination to ensure fast turnaround times and exceptional quality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a high-speed production environment focused on CNC machining and machine setup/coding.
  • Must be proficient with computer-aided drafting CAD software packages, CREO (Pro/Engineer) preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE or similar) for tooling and inventory management.
  • Background in fastener manufacturing or similar high-precision components.
  • Knowledge of heat treatment, plating, and secondary finishing processes.
  • Familiarity with over-molding and plastic component integration.
  • Exposure to budgeting and capital expenditure planning.
  • Ability to create custom tooling drawings and specifications.
  • Experience improving process documentation and implementing digital tracking systems.
