About The Position

As an R&D Manager, Verification at Ascom, you will be joining our R&D leadership team to improve and innovate our Patient Systems solutions for healthcare. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to elevate our test engineering and quality assurance capabilities. This role is critical to ensuring that our product quality exceeds expectations that align with real-world usage scenarios, performance, and security standards. This position is a hybrid position in Morrisville, NC. Your days will be filled with… Collaboration with verification engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, performance, and security dimensions. Overseeing test plans, execution, and reporting to guarantee product reliability of our Patient Systems portfolio. Define, consistently improve, and implement robust verification strategies for our Patient Systems portfolio. Drive test automation initiatives to improve scalability, reduce variability, and support a "shift-left" approach in the development lifecycle. Discovering and incorporating tools, techniques, and procedures to continuously improve team efficiency and effectiveness in verification procedures. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Work closely with development managers, product management, and regulatory teams to align verification activities with business goals and customer needs. Ensuring verification procedures are aligned with quality compliance and regulatory applicable standards for example (ISO development, environmental, health and safety and other applicable). Ensuring that identified improvement opportunities in the test processes are addressed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 7 or more years of professional experience in verification engineering.
  • 3 or more years of professional experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in outlining and successful execution of verification strategies for hardware / software systems.
  • Experience in integrating automated tests for continuous integration.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills in the English language.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside of the established solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
