During this program, you will support the Local Safety Officer (LSO) in ensuring compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements and strengthening local safety operations processes, contributing to patient safety and regulatory excellence.

Requirements

  • Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship

Nice To Haves

  • Degree concentration in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, Public Health, or a related scientific field
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear recommendations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Interest in pharmacovigilance, regulatory compliance, or safety operations within a global or regional environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven setting
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Support the LSO in the execution of local pharmacovigilance activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in tracking safety reporting metrics.
  • Support documentation management and inspection readiness activities.
  • Support cross-functional communication related to safety updates and local requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance within local safety operations.
  • Support training activities for internal stakeholders.

  • The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour
