About The Position

The R&D Lab Technician role at Actalent involves creating high-quality applied and prototype samples to support sales efforts. The technician will collaborate with various teams, including R&D, National Color Lab, Marketing, and Sales, to conceptualize and produce industry-leading samples while managing inventory and fulfilling special requests under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, etc.) or High school diploma/GED.
• Previous experience within the construction industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in laboratory settings.
• Familiarity with wet chemistry and titration techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality applied and prototype samples representing products.
• Collaborate with R&D, National Color Lab, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• Fulfill special sample requests and work orders.
• Coordinate with third-party warehouses to maintain inventory levels of applied samples.
• Produce large-scale samples for tradeshows.
• Support the National Color Lab by pre-weighing tint bases and maintaining inventory.
• Handle special projects as assigned by the Tech Service Manager or Sample Lab Team Leader.
• Ensure sufficient consumable inventory for sample production and order supplies as needed.
