The Summer Intern, Siplast, supports the Research and Development (R&D) function within the Siplast commercial roofing business. The Summer Intern, Siplast, will work with scientists and manager(s) and be a part of the Siplast R&D team based in Arkadelphia, AR. He/she will have a great deal of opportunity to learn, contribute and develop leadership skills.

Requirements

Major in chemistry, polymer science, engineering or related fields.
Preferably with a sophomore standing.
GPA of 3.0
Candidates with experiences related to lab environment are preferred
Ability to travel and visit plants or customer sites as needed (10% time)
Ability to participate from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

Learn, be curious and brainstorm on potential new ideas for optimizing commercial roofing products and systems that will bring value to the end users (Architects, Roof Contractors, Consultants)
Design and perform experiments with moderate to heavy supervision, interprets and evaluates data, contributes to written reports
Collect, analyze and present scientific data to key stakeholders and senior management
