About The Position

This position works alongside the engineering team and individually to assist in projects focused on new neurovascular product development. Responsibilities may include the following Interact with engineers to understand engineering requirements. Participate in the design and development of test methods and clinical test beds Understanding and translation of clinically relevant anatomical conditions. Conduct preclinical bench testing - record and interpret results. Understanding of basic mechanical equipment (pumps, flow restrictors, pressure regulators) for fluid management systems White paper conceptualization and prototyping of first-generation concepts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an engineering discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Familiar with R&D test equipment used for testing (such as Instron tensile tester, Keyence)
  • Able to use SolidWorks for drawing and designing tooling, fixtures, devices and related items
  • Knowledge of materials (Polymers, Metals, Chemicals) as related to medical devices
  • Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
  • Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and partnership with R&D and other departments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD, machining, and rapid prototyping tools a plus tensile, simulated use, or other test methods related to the project
