About The Position

Keysight is looking for an electrical engineering intern with FPGA experience to join our R&D team in Colorado Springs, CO. This individual will be responsible for designing next-generation technology for test and measurement applications, including electronic elements for oscilloscope products, modular RF products, and/or probes and accessories products. The ideal candidate is working towards a BS or MS in EE or ECE and shows proficiency in field programmable gate array (FPGA) design, simulation, verification, and debug. The candidate should be a self-starter with strong communication skills. Requirements

  • Working towards a BS or MS in EE/ECE
  • Experience with Verilog or VHDL
  • Ability to design, verify, and debug synchronous and asynchronous digital circuits
  • Understanding of circuit theory, transmission line theory, and high-speed signal fundamentals
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and tackle challenging tasks
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards an MS in EE/ECE or have applicable experience and education
  • Experience designing, verifying and debugging analog and digital circuits
  • Printed circuit board design experience including experience with high-speed signal integrity
  • Familiarity with FPGA architecture and synthesis tools
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Working with a collaborative team of FPGA engineers designing functionality for next-generation electronic products.
  • Owning specific functional blocks within a project’s FPGA architecture
  • Running verification of your FPGA design through simulation and completing verification on real hardware.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to test and debug designs within a product (such as software and adjacent hardware teams)
  • Applying FPGA knowledge and skills to represent your discipline among a collaborative design team and helping your team weigh tradeoffs and solve problems.
  • Continuing to grow in your discipline and learn new skills as necessary to make your team successful.
