Altamira is searching for an R&D Engineer/Scientist in the Dayton, Ohio area.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other related technical field
- Proficient with engineering codes to include MATLAB, Python, and/or IDL.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Demonstrated knowledge of remote sensing principals and applications
Nice To Haves
- Prefer 3-5 years of engineering/scientific application experience
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and scientific support on our prime contract to produce and deliver results related to the PIR mission area.
- Performance and trending of analysis tool enhancements, visual presentations, recommendations on systems integration and system wide improvements
- Testing and analyzing system performance parameters and pursuing solutions to identified issues
- Recognizing and analyzing anomalous activity and providing resolution and mitigation support
- Experience with AI/ML methodologies that can lead to process improvement / and or increase efficiency of production
- Perform in-depth processing and exploitation of data
- Support the resolution of highly complex, technical problems and provide advice and recommendations
