Requirements

  • Major/Program: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relevant physical science major
  • CUM 3.0 GPA (based on 4.0 scale)
  • Student Status: Currently enrolled as a full-time student
  • Understanding of scientific method, experimental methods, and basic statistics
  • Experience with data analysis using MS Excel
  • Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • Experience with hands-on laboratory work, through coursework or otherwise
  • Demonstrates an eagerness and willingness to learn
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn from failures
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • We require proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience measuring aerosols in a laboratory setting
  • First-hand work with gas measurement sensors and instrumentation or advanced technical knowledge of electrochemical gas sensing
  • Knowledge of controls or circuit design for conducting experiments
  • Experience with advanced methods of data analysis, such as regression analysis and use of artificial intelligence
  • Experience using LabView or MATLAB
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software
