About The Position

The Energy Science and Power System Division of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking undergraduates to assist ARL engineers in the areas of mechanical design and analysis, mechanical assembly, and test & evaluation. This work may include the design, assembly and testing of prototype hardware. The work site is located several miles off campus.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Students in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science and Mechanics are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist ARL engineers in mechanical design and analysis.
• Support mechanical assembly tasks.
• Participate in test and evaluation processes.
• Engage in the design, assembly, and testing of prototype hardware.
