An exciting opportunity to join the growing Research and Development team in Boston Scientific's Renal Denervation Organization. In this role, you'll work on a wide variety of challenging and rewarding new product development activities focused on bringing new and impactful therapies to patients around the globe. The position will focus on early-stage prototyping, developing, and optimizing new design solutions for single-use catheter-based devices that will help advance a complex medical therapy. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual with strong technical fundamentals, a creative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.   • Support catheter development team by defining and executing experiments, analyzing data, and present results/observations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement robust engineering solutions.
  • Develop new test methods and fixturing to assess product performance.
  • Design, procure and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
  • Train Technicians and Test Operators.
  • Contribute to intellectual property development and innovation efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar.
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in a related engineering field/industry.
  • Experience developing product level test methods and equipment/fixturing.
  • Good understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and follow through on project responsibilities.
  • Self-driven, with a creative approach to solving complex engineering problems.
  • Good organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Highly motivated individuals that can drive deliverables through creative problem solving and collaboration among team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to ideate, prototype, and implement creative test method solutions.
  • History of experimental design and execution.
  • Experience developing new complex product evaluation methods where current solutions are insufficient.
  • Basic understanding of medical device design control / quality systems and the product development process (PLCP).
  • Proficiency using SolidWorks.
