About The Position

The R&D Electrical Test Engineer will support the decision-making process for technical challenges by providing testing results. Prepare and execute measurements for the development, product management, engineering, sales, and service departments of the ventilation and drives division, addressing challenges related to fans and electrical drives

Requirements

  • Experience as an Electrical / Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent work experience.
  • Well-founded experience in measuring electrical motors and/ or measuring aerodynamics of fans.
  • Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation and work within project structures.
  • Working independently and taking responsibility, while considering business aspects.
  • Confidently handle laboratory measurement technology and common office tools.
  • Possesses strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to details.
  • Embraces a hands-on mentality, ensuring practical solutions and effective implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctuality, dependability, and professionalism
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical measurements (such as magnetization and torque characteristics, simulation of load spectrums) of external rotor motors (AC and EC / PMSM), standard motors and motors for special applications and explosive atmospheres.
  • Perform temperature rise tests of electrical machines, including winding, bearing and rotor temperature.
  • Carry out air performance measurements and temperature rise tests of customer devices and fans.
  • Perform vibration and acoustic measurements of our fans and customer devices.
  • Prepare measurement samples.
  • Conduct climate and environmental tests, including long-term and open area tests.
  • Handle customer complaints and perform fault analysis in the laboratory.
  • Explain measurement results in response to requests from internal departments and customers.
  • Analyze measurement results according to the appropriate standards and create measurement reports that include a short summary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
