Our R&D engineers are responsible for designing and developing implantable medical devices for the Active Implantable Systems (AIS) group. These technologies monitor, support the diagnosis of, and treat irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, and sudden cardiac arrest. AIS provides devices and therapies that support a patient’s entire continuum of care, from diagnostics to treatment. In this role, you will contribute to the development and testing of innovative electronic systems used in implantable medical devices. A key focus of the position involves designing, building, testing, and debugging printed circuit boards (PCBs) for sensor and electronic subsystems. This includes hands-on PCB assembly, soldering, circuit validation, and bench testing to support the development of next-generation medical technologies. This division strives to innovate and create paradigm-shifting solutions that address unmet clinical needs and redefine what is possible for patients.
